First of all, Catholics and Protestants are different, yes, but they do have, in ways, have similar beliefs. And yet still seem to have such a strong disagreement on a lot of stuff. To begin this discussion Catholics and Protestants started feuding for reasons of plenty. Some reasons came from history. The reasons beginning at just causal disagreements while conversing all the way to murders. There's also things like saying the pope is the Beast of Revelation and Roman Catholicism as Mystery Babylon are still common among Protestants. Even with historical reasons for feuding there's always are humanistic qualities getting in the way about who's right and who's wrong. Who is right and wrong you say? . . . . . . . Can't say. I guess we'll all just figure it out in the end!
(Any way,) Catholics and Protestants also have disagreements about the church. Such as, Protestants think Roman Catholics teach a works - gospel that can't save you. Whereas, Roman Catholics think Protestants only have to express a certain amount of emotion to get saved. Another disagreement is that Protestants blame Catholics for worshipping Mary but Catholics think Protestants are to dumb to understand the importance in this action. Besides disagreeing over who to worship, to pray to, etc. the authority to rule stands alone in argument. Although each religion has its own final decision on who has authority on the church, each indiviual Catholic and Protestant has their own say on the matter.
Well that just about wraps up what I've got to say on the matter. Check out this site to learn more.

Why Don't People of Different Religions Co-Exist?
Two religions that generally don' t co-exist are the Islamic faith and Judaism. To begin, not all Muslims hate Jews and not all Jews hate Muslims but historically Jews are descendants of Abraham's son Isaac and Arabs are descendants of Abraham's son Ishmael. And Biblically Isaac an Ishmael didn't have a good relationship. Ishmael was the son of a slave woman and Isaac was the promised son who would receive the blessing from Abraham. So from the start the two were in disagreement. Later on as the religions holy books were written there was still disagreement on who was the promised son. The Hebrew Scriptures say it was Isaac. The Qur'an says it was Ishmael. Also in the Muslims holy book, the Qur'an, it tells Muslims that at one time they should love and respect Jews as their brother and if the Jews refuse to convert to Islam then the Muslims should attach. Which if you're a strong Jew and you come in contact with a Muslim and you don't convert it would honestly be a very scary thing. All these things show the non-co-existence of Muslims and Jews and there is still more check out this site for previous and additional information.

JUDAISM
Judaism
(Approx.) The eighth most popular, practiced, religion in the world. With about 13.3 million people following this religion to this day.

In c. 1300 B.C. Abraham founded the religion of Judaism in Mesopotamia. (Above is Davids Star and a Hanukkahs Menorah)
Number of Disciples & Locations in the World
About 0.22% of the world today are Jews. And the majority of them are located in Israel, Europe and the U.S.A.
Holy Readings/Religious Texts
Their holy readings and religious texts consist of the Torah, the Tanakh and the Old Testament from the Bible.
Religious Celebrations/ Holidays
The major holidays of Judaism is Rosh Hashanah (the Jewish New Year), Yom Kippur (the Day of Atonement), Sukkot (the festival of Booths), Hanukkah, Tu B'Shevat (the New Year for Trees) and the Pesach Passover.

The Jewish rituals are birth ceremonies, circumcision for the boys, on their eighth day of life, marriage ceremonies and death mourning.
(Above is the Jewish symbol Davids Star)
Special Religious Dress
Jews normally wear quite normal clothes (pants, and a t-shirt), but for certain religious ceremonies they wear things like a prayer shawl, white robes, a kipa (clothing you must wear to enter a synagogue), and a garb (traditional Jewish wear).

In Jewish culture they answer to the president, the council, and the rabbi.
Beliefs
Jews are a part of a monotheism belief, which means that they believe in one God of whom they worship. Christianity, the worlds most popular religion, was actually developed from Judaism. The difference is that Christians believe that Jesus Christ (0 B.C.- 33B.C.) was (and is) the Messiah, but Jews believe the messiah is still yet to come.

How could my community be more friendly?
I think my community is not very friendly at all. And I think that we should all be friends and not have any problems with each other at all. But it doesn't work that way, so I'll have to do some work. So what I was thinking was that I could invite my entire neighborhood over for a cook out. And even though some people come for the free food they' ll be making friends (or enemies) and not even know it. And by the use of free food I can force people to talk and converse with one another. Even if they don't talk and it's just a big blow out of food with no conversation they might even see someone they never even knew were neighbors with them. Next I could have everyone say there name, so that when some one's taking a walk and see' s someone they remember they could maybe say like "Hey Joe ." and then, "Hows it going Larry." and there's friendship for you. Spreading throughout the community.

Some Cool Site about Video Games
So I found a site about video game addiction. For the first couple of paragraphs it compared the first video games to modern day games, like Pong and Xbox Live. It gave examples to addicts like some one who was addicted to a certain internet game and committed suicide while at his computer. This site would be for a person who has no social life and only sits with his or her gaming system every chance they get.

The Cardinals
True Statement: The Cardinals are the Best MLB Team in the history of the world! Amen!
My Neighborhood Community
As a part of Team 3, I am excited to be blogging this year on the topic o f co-existence. My neighborhood is quite small. It consists of my family of six, my next door neighbors of six, apartments, and condos. Besides my family and my neighbors all my other neighbors are old people. All of the old people live in the condos. The people in the apartments are all to poor to have either a car or a job, so they sit in there house watching TV all day or they walk to work and work all day, come home, eat, sleep, repeat. The problem is that none of us converse at all except for sometimes my next door neighbors.
