Why Don't People of Different Religions Co-Exist?
Two religions that generally don' t co-exist are the Islamic faith and Judaism. To begin, not all Muslims hate Jews and not all Jews hate Muslims but historically Jews are descendants of Abraham's son Isaac and Arabs are descendants of Abraham's son Ishmael. And Biblically Isaac an Ishmael didn't have a good relationship. Ishmael was the son of a slave woman and Isaac was the promised son who would receive the blessing from Abraham. So from the start the two were in disagreement. Later on as the religions holy books were written there was still disagreement on who was the promised son. The Hebrew Scriptures say it was Isaac. The Qur'an says it was Ishmael. Also in the Muslims holy book, the Qur'an, it tells Muslims that at one time they should love and respect Jews as their brother and if the Jews refuse to convert to Islam then the Muslims should attach. Which if you're a strong Jew and you come in contact with a Muslim and you don't convert it would honestly be a very scary thing. All these things show the non-co-existence of Muslims and Jews and there is still more check out this site for previous and additional information.

Interesting! I didn't know the issue really started with two brothers. I learned something new today. Thanks.
